Basically a relationship is on the brink but the guy doesn't know what he wants so he's playing the girl a bit til he figures it out. The girl doesn't want it to be over, but she wants to know the truth. At least she thinks she does...but in the end she'd live in a lie for him.

I don't like Lindsay. I think she's pretty sleezy in her videos. But this song actually suprised me. It's well sung, well wrote, there's real instruments used behind her. I really like it and it's changed my view on her alot. I think anyone can relate to this song at one point or another and that's what makes it so great.

i thought that was her dad. i've only seen it like once it wasn't out yet when i commented. i think they just wanted to make an interesting video so i'm not really sure cause why is she effing up his trailor?
what I got from the video is the dad didn't want him hanging around with her. And every time he caught the guy with her he'd take his son away. And it got to the point where the son couldn't see her at all, so he ended it. but she didn't want it to be over. That's why she's crying. I think.
i think this song was about a girl in love, and she knows that her boyfriend wants to breakup with her but she isn't completely sure, so she wants to know now, rather than to get closer to the guy and become more hurt later. amazing song :D
i think its about this girl & whos shes going out getss beat by his dad anytime hes with her or outt with friends & the girl pretends like she doesnt wanna go on & liek its okayy to break up just for his dad but really she dosent notice shes really deeply in love & so yeahh it cant be over -
