1985 Lyrics

another night, said i have to calm down
another day, be another red light... yeahhh
i heard the sounds see i heard this on the one tell me
in my hand, whoaaaa-oh, your hand
and everytime we stop see you get a little fill its all over there
i know i know

i waited on the feelin' i waited all the time
i hate the sort of feeling when there's someone else in mind
and its the time for killing
by hearing all the time

drive me out of line (fashion), and i was color-blind
what do what i hear you say
maybe never want it see at all, noooooo
it sounds like a mind too empty findin' in my hand
whoaaa-oh your hand
and we got out just barely alive
ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh

i waited on the feelin' i waited all the time
i hate the sort of feeling when there's someone else in mind
and its the time for killing
by hearing all the time

another notice, out on the phone-line
(line clashes wonder what catches)
do you want to hang this, me on the clothes-line
(now im feeling... really such a fine time)

im glad i relate to you
glad im that glad im too
know i dont mind you
im keeping in mind
glad i relate to you
glad i resolve to you
ahhhh

this is the song that got me interested in them. I'm still not sure what it's about, but I love it. It has great rhythm and melody, and it just flows. Still a favourite.

I always thought it was

"I'm glad I ran into you, I'm glad I ran over you (now)"

These lyrics were awful - here is my take:

Another night's end, I had to calm down, Another day bed, another red light... yeahhh, I heard this sound, see I heard there's only one tell me, In my head, whoaaaa-oh, your head, And everytime we stop see you get a little thrill it's all over there, I know, I know, I know,

I waited on the thinning, I waited all the time, I hate the sort of feeling when there's someone else in mind, And it's the type for killing, By hearing all the time,

(Try to find some passion,) We out alone, (Wonder what was catching,) And I was color-blind,

(Put you on a thin line,) Don't want to hear you say (Such a fine time,) Maybe never want to see at all, noooooo,

It sounds like 1985, In my head, Whoaaa - in your head, And we got out just barely alive, Ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh,

I waited on the thinning, I waited all the time, I hate the sort of feeling when there's someone else in mind, And its the type for killing, By hearing all the time,

Another nomad out on the phone-line, (The line flashes, wonder what the catch is?,) Do you want to hang with me on a clothesline?, (You know a thin line, really such a fine time,)

I'm glad I ran into you, Glad I can flatter you, Know I don't mind you, I'll keep it in mind,

Glad I ran into you, Glad I ran out for you, Ahhhh.
