i think its about being away from someone you love dearly, but had not choice but to let them go.
i agree. it's definately about the death of a close friend or family member, perhaps a boyfriend. I don 't know if anyone heard this or if I'm insane but did you hear her whisper 'Henry' at the beginning? Anyway I love this song :)

Not to be rude but anyone who thinks they sound like Evanescence must be tone deaf.Sharon and Amy have totally different vocals,with Sharon having a broader range,or at least showing that she does.

i don't think they sound the same voice wise, but the music itself sounds similar, though i wouldn't mistake it and I actually have to listen to see how people are getting it, the music and lyrics-not the vocals-sound the same. the voices are different. Sharon's a LOT higher than Amy, that's for sure.

Why, oh why do WT/Evanescence/Lacuna Coil/Nightwish etc get compared all the time?
They're all so different... the only thing they have in common is female singers. Everything else is different!

Now now reprecussion, Within Temptation are the Beatles compared to Evanescence. Though I like Evanescences guitaring better. Believe it or not, they can play metallic better then Within Temptation.

Going by the music video... it's a woman remembering her lover from her youth, who is long dead or gone, yet still lives on in her memories.
Beautiful song. Agree with the interpretation. As the video shows, an old lady walking past a mansion on an autumn day remembers her lover from youth, when she shared that mansion with him.
