You Showed Me Lyrics
You showed me how to do
Exactly what you do
How I fell in love with you
Ohhhhh, it's true
Ohhhhh, I love you
You showed me how to say
Exactly what you say
In that very special way
Ohhhhh, it's true
You fell for me too
And when I tried it
I could see you fall
And I decided
It's not a trip at all
You taught it to me to
Exactly what you do
And now you love me too
Ohhhh, it's true
We're in love, we two
Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
We're in love, we two
We two
You showed me how to do
Exactly what you do
How I fell in love with you
You showed me how to say
Exactly what you say
In that very special way
You taught it to me to
Exactly what you do
And now you love me too (repeat to fade)
Exactly what you do
How I fell in love with you
Ohhhhh, it's true

OMG! NO ONE COMMENTED! COme on, This song is awesome! It's about a girl, letting a guy, try drugs for the first time. And he fell in love with her, She taught him, thats my uptake, Someone else REPLY!!!!
Bull. It's NOT about drugs. It's too catchy and upbeat and downright silly.

Maybe it's not about a girl. Maybe it's about his relationship with the drug. I don't know, I never actually analyzed this song when I hear it.
Well now I think it's more about him being taught sex. =\
I also think there's something to the drug theory. There's something in this song that makes me think of drugs and how easy it is to fall into. Then again, I'm a drug addict so most loves songs make me think of drugs. But in all seriousness, this is an amazing song all around. I absolutely love it.
To me its a love song but who knows, it's from the late 60's I want to say 67 but might be wrong on the exact year.

i dont think this song is about drugs at all but instead just about two people falling for each other. the reference to "tripping" i think is just another way of saying that this love wasn't accidental
I'm gonna say that if you want to go a bit deeper, play this song alone with headphones and just.. listen.. it's gotta be deeper than drugs or maturity. Think about it.. the ascending, creepy background tones.. "You, showed me how to say, EXACTLY what you say, in that very special way..."??? Not creepy?
Ok I'll elaborate.. ever had that creepy kid that wore your style, copied your slang, etc.. think about that, but now deeper.
Maybe it's not even creepy, it's just, you have an admirer, and imitation is the highest flattery.. So obviously he loves a girl. Forget the drug theory and get literal. He literally says, I love youuuuu... It's true..
Sooo lol.. on that note. He has been shown.. what you say, what she says, how she says it... How long do you think it might take to learn someone so well? Would an interested, invested partner be so patient with such an unknowing lover, waiting for him to catch up when she already miles or levels of hotness above him or whatever the gap is caused by.. Maybe he sees her in class, and sees her say funny things, funny ways, studying, border line stalking, waiting to make a move, learning her, then boom.. he gets her and becomes HER desire, something SHE would notice, cuz he's invisible... On same principle but alternate angle.. She plays him, dates him but teases him crazy, he wants her so bad, never gets over her, studies the memory of her, copies her ways, and comes back later. Either way.. creepy stalker who is uncomfortable in his own skin, so we are never even sure who "HE" IS... consider... And when I triiiied it... I deciiided.. (laughs a bit) it's not a trip at all..... His epiphany.. she was faking it, leading him on to begin with, and he didn't catch her lies until he triiiieeddd ittt.. lol. She never fell, she tripped him, but since it was a game to her he was used. So when he gets her on purpose, his love was always real... ( or was it just infatuation or something he can't have, or even more.. revenge?) Creepy enough yet? How about.. now you love me too... We too... We?? That one is real subtle, genius writing I say. Your mind corrects it auto like. We is me n her? Lol no. Me, myself, my alter ego she loves, her, and the real me, abandoned and unloved.. who she'll never again see, if indeed this dysfunctional relationship pans out. So now we see.. the truth.. a mentally disturbed, love struck guy who got his way.. he's got the upper hand now.. she loves him too.. Now just envision what might happen when she sees through the illusion, or tries to leave, after his feelings get really bad...
dead girls.. or hey, maybe your right they were good and decent in the 60s, it was probably just innocent love yall you right. Or just the drugs. Yea. The drugs!!! Shroomms
Just wanna accentuate the part where he says he tried it... Listen to that part... The way he laughs... He been waiting.. long time... To find the bitter truth.. he laughs cuz its "heheh" not a trip at all.. love doesn't exist? Not as serious as he thought? Or, maybe, this is gonna be easy, NOWWWwww.. muauahahahah
