Samba Nova Lyrics

Hard time is never long enough
To keep my head afloat
and my feet are stuck in the mud again
I’m getting old and my money's been spent

Tryin’ hard was never good enough
I’ve got a lot to learn
and she’s walkin’ right out the door again
I’m torn in two and I don’t see the end

You can always buy a new lie
When yours is finally over
Either way you'll find a new life
When yours is finally over

Don’t think I ever changed at all, my dear
And you'll see when I'm right
and here's when I'm wrong, but still
I kick myself in the face once again

Sometimes I think that I can kill the world
If just for a day
but I'd just be stuck with myself again
And I don't think I wanna be my only friend

You can always buy a new lie
When yours is finally over
Either way you'll find a new life
When yours is finally over

Is this song on one of their albums? The only one of their CDs I don't have is "Shangri-La-Dee-Da", and from what I've heard on it, I'm not gonna get it anytime soon.

your missing out then its their 2nd best album only behind purple

hilarious reading my comment from 7 years ago. i'm a diehard STP fan now, know all of their albums and songs by heart, and love shangri-la dee da. i actually listened to the entire album earlier today. just goes to show there's a big difference between being 16 and 23 haha

This is not on any of their albums; It was written in the SLDD era, but it was an outtake.

It was supposed to be on Shangri-La Dee Da, but they took it out. Maybe on their next CD.

I just heard this song, it's not that good. Compared to the other stuff on Shangri-La Dee Da, I'm glad they took it out.
