Pink And Black Lyrics

So, yea, you said you heard this one
Maybe lived it twice
But with bias on my side

I swear I've got a different one
To be laid to line
And with a dime for your advice

You never saw a man
Make a fist and grab so fast he said

Good luck you know you better just forget it
Cause love is never in the same place that you left it

I said you wouldn't understand
This was long-term love
She was perfectly described

And what she wore when we last met
It was pink and black
A study in scarlet up inside

You never saw a man
With bigger eyes that understand
He said

Good luck you know you better just forget it
Cause love is never in the same place that you left it

You never saw a man
With bigger eyes that understand
He said

Good luck you know you better go and get it
Cause love is never in the same place if you left it

He said good luck you know you better go and get her
Cause love is never in the same place if you left her

This song's chorus is so great and all of the lyrics are true. It's about this guy who left this girl for some reason, but he now regrets it. And he's asking this other person what they think and probably, from experience, they tell him, "Good luck, you know you better just forget it, cause love is never in the same place that you left it" because you can't just walk away form a relationship and go back and expect things to be perfect, like they were. But, at the end, the person that he's asking for advice gets that he truly loves this girl and eeds to have her with him, so he says "Good, luck, you know you better go and get her, cause love is never in the same place if you left her>" And that's his cue to go and make things right with his girl. That's what I think, anyway.lol. ;)

i can't believe no more people haven't commented! i looooove Tyler Hilton and this song. I think 10Shana pretty much said what I would have =)

I can't figure out the significance of what she wore, 'it was pink and black, a study of scarlet up inside'...a study of scarlet is the first sherlock holmes story...did she have a copy with her? or is it a metaphor as 'a study of scarlet' was what dr. watson used to describe his first exposure to murder? It seems pretty significant given the title of the song.
