Kiss Of Life Lyrics

Last night
She brought me to
The state of mind
In an empty room

White light
The kiss of life
A and E
On a Saturday night

You count stars
In green and blue
Have dreams
Stuffed with things you knew

It's too late
Can't you see
You're sweet
And love's got a hold on me
So come on

Don't stop, and don't look back
Cos your love's like a heart attack
Come on

So late
Hard and cold
Sweet love, how you suffer so
Pink moon, colours you
Shot down but I feel for you
So come on

Don't stop, and don't look back
Cos your love's like a heart attack
Come on
I can't stop, no I can't turn back
Feel your love like a heart attack
Come on

Don't stop, and don't look back
Cos your love's like a heart attack
Come on
I can't stop, I can't turn back
Feel your love like a heart attack
Come on

The first eight lines are about waking up in a hospital, and I love the description of coming out of an overdose. It reminds me so much of the OD sequence in Trainspotting. (Of course I could be wrong and terribly insulting the band by calling them junkies.)

I think most of these lyrics are wrong. Listen to the song and read along, and you tell me.

this is about that moment when you fall in love.

the only part i dont get is the A & E.

could gaz and his girl be falling in love while watching the A&E television network on a saturday night?

or when loaded up on Acid and Ecstasy?

i think the second is more likely, but either way, its a beautiful song.

Well the question was a couple of years ago, but in case you still need an answer. A&E stands for "Accident & Emergency" it's the British term for the ER (Emergency Room).
