I think this is about HIV/AIDS and the person is worrying about whether or not they have contracted it.

I originally thought this song was about a girl who is afraid she is pregnant and wonders how her partner will react. I don't get why the song is named Trust though so Dvel's idea is interesting. Either way, a person wonders if a lover will stick around after dropping some bad news.
