This has been said so many times that I'm not sure if it matters
But we never stood a chance
And I'm not sure if it matters
If you are the shores, I am the waves begging for big moons
I'm mailing letters to addresses in a ghost town
(Your secret's out)

I know this hurts, it was meant to (it was meant to)
Your secret's out and the best part is it isn't even a good one
And it's mind over you don't, don't matter

This has been said so many times that I'm not sure if it matters
But it must be said again that all us boys are just screaming
Into microphones for attention
Because we're just so bored
We never knew that you would pick it apart, oh
I'm falling apart to songs about hips and hearts
(Your secret's out)

I know this hurts, it was meant to (it was meant to)
Your secret's out and the best part is it isn't even a good one
And it's mind over you don't, don't matter

I used to obsess over living,
Now I only obsess over you
Tell me you'd like boys like me better
In the dark lying on top of you

(This has been said so many times that I'm not sure if it matters)

I know this hurts, it was meant to (it was meant to)
Your secret's out and the best part is it isn't even a good one
And it's mind over you don't, don't, don't, don't matter

From day one I talked about getting out
But not forgetting about how my worst fears are letting out
He said why put a new address
On the same old loneliness
When breathing just passes the time
Until we all just get old and die
Now talking's just a waste of breath and living's just a waste of death
And why put a new address on the same old loneliness
And this is you and me
And me and you until we've got nothing left

    to all of you alls:

Fall out boy did not do this horribly. i thought i was awesome. and for one "ew fall out boy covering jawbreaker? thats unfortunate. shhh i dont want the fall out boy fans to know who jawbreaker is. "

i already knew who jawbreaker was... and besides that.. i thought this site was to express what you the song was about. if you thought the song was so bad, why "waste your time" commenting it? dont you have better things to do?

    agh.. stupid, stupid people.

For all of you assholes wasting your time posting a comment on a cover you CLEARLY do not like, IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, DON'T COMMENT IT. It's common sense, you gits. It's a freakin' cover. They're going to change it, yes? I know a lot of good covers that have been altered a little bit. IT'S NOT KILLING ANYONE, QUIT ACTING LIKE IT IS!

    Right idiots.

It's only ironic now that they got signed to island. When they did this cover- not so much.

Jawbreaker is awesome. The orig. version is ace, but this one isn't half bad.

okay i'm probably wrong but the lyrics sound more like

1)"i had just begun to forget my lies" instead of "i had just begun to forget my lines"

2)and i think it's "you're NOT punk and i'm telling everyone" instead of "youre a punk and i'm telling everyone"

    3)it's "i have a present. it's the present." not "i have a present, it is a presnet."

4)"this war can be won" not "this one can be one"

it might be wrong, but i think it makes more sense and sounds more like it. i guess only half of these corrections are right but i'm still not sold.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
