Relapse Lyrics
i'll help you through your pain
if you help me through mine
never have i met
someone as insensitive as you
i love the way that you're always on my mind
it's ok, you're not a bad one you're sane
i can't help this pain that i feel
my head is not all that you want it to lay
existence is purpose
explain what my touch means to you if it does
i love the way that you're always on my mind
it's ok, you're not a bad one you're sane
i can't help this pain that i'm feeling
i can't help this pain that i'm feeling
i can't help this pain that i'm feeling
i love the way that you're always on my mind
it's ok, you're not a bad one you're sane
so how you love, it feels how you feel

I love this song so much. It was the first Little Birdy I heard. I ran out and bought Big Big Love striaght away. Crank this song in your car and sing along...though I think only Perth people appreciate that when you're at the lights...everyone else just seems to give me wierd looks.

I think about two people who have trouble dealing with life. And one loves the other for being there to help her with life.
I think it's "relapse in soda" and "you're not bad when you're sane".
I've done the soda thing. I have Jones sodas as bookends.

The person she sings about can't understand her. He's sane, and she lives on the outside, and so he seems insensitive. But he effects her nonetheless, and she can't help feeling pain, thinking about him, normal love type things. He loves differently, i love the line "so how you love, it feels how you feel". Insentive, distant, sane, rational. I dont know, i just adore her voice.

no its "relapse and soda".... at least thats what it is in the album lyrics....... Relapse means to fall back into something... sort of in and out.... so maybe the love katie steel is singing about is one that is on and off or has different shades

gr8 song amazing lyrics!

It's definetly "relapse and soda" and "you're not a bad one you're sane". I've listened to it hard, and that's the words. Very powerful song. I agree with all the meanings on the page. Great work Little Birdy!

this is my favorite song by them

SHe likes this guy and he doesn't like her! and she sooo sad but sher can't stoping thinking about him! ahhh i hav that problem! lol got to love it! ;)

i adore this song, it's amazing. it reminds me of australian author helen garner's book "monkey grip", in which the protagonist is in love with a junkie. he's addicted to drugs and she's addicted to loving him, even though he has his obvious faults. and the more she tries to pull away from him, "the tighter the monkey grip".
their relationship, like the one i see in this song, is a constant pattern of ups and downs, blame and guilt, love and resentment. there is a lot of inner conflict.
