The song is clearly about the preparation for an expedition in eastern Europe. The set is probably eastern Sweden, spring has arrived, ice in Baltic sea is melting, proper offers to the god were given and our brave heroes are ready to sail to bring back riches or face death in the process.
P.S. Octobersnackbar came to the discussion for a song with lyrics about history to say that we are hearing low level music, how many songs about history or anything except love and pop lifestyle there are today in "normal" music of "normal" people?
the riffage in theis song is so cool. It has such a medieval feel to it. I love the whole viking references...
SoldierlessSoul: no. It's an utterly self-explanatory song about Vikings. All you did was copy/paste a bunch of Norse mythology without once stating how you were connecting it with the lyrics.

Really good "pumping up" song, and I agree it's a kick ass riff. Lyrically it's fine, but the plot is kind of lame.. I think it comes too late in the album.
