Good Love Never Dies Lyrics
For the rest of my days I want you by my side
Tell me what can I say to keep you in my life
'Cause I can never relax
I've got to keep it exciting
Make it attractive
Keep it alive
Keep you coming back
I'm always so frightened you'll see through my act
When the fire is out and I've given up
You come running out, and you build it up
You tell me good love never dies
It only hurts when we burn our eyes
From staring too long at the sun
You gotta throw your hands up
And let the night come
Spoken: I like watching you out there. It's comforting.
Tell me what can I say to keep you in my life
All the words slip away when I look in your eyes
Because I can never relax
I've got to keep it exciting
Make it attractive
Keep it alive
Keep you coming back
I'm already fighting to keep what I have
When the fire is out and I've given up
You come running out, and you build it up
You tell me good love never dies
It only hurts when we burn our eyes
From staring too long at the sun
You gotta throw your hands up
And let the night come
Take your chances
And let the night come
Tell me what can I say to keep you in my life
'Cause I can never relax
I've got to keep it exciting
Make it attractive
Keep it alive
Keep you coming back
I'm always so frightened you'll see through my act
When the fire is out and I've given up
You come running out, and you build it up
It only hurts when we burn our eyes
From staring too long at the sun
You gotta throw your hands up
And let the night come
All the words slip away when I look in your eyes
Because I can never relax
I've got to keep it exciting
Make it attractive
Keep it alive
Keep you coming back
I'm already fighting to keep what I have
When the fire is out and I've given up
You come running out, and you build it up
It only hurts when we burn our eyes
From staring too long at the sun
You gotta throw your hands up
And let the night come
Take your chances
And let the night come

she's working so hard to keep contact with the person she's singing about, so afraid of losing the one person who makes sense in her life, but he's telling her she should relax and let life happen. he comes back and builds up the "fire" when it goes out to show her that she doesn't need to worry, he's going to be around, and she doesn't need to stress out so much about keeping him around because he's not going anywhere.
it's always a relief knowing there's at least one person in your life you can count on(moreso than others, anyway) to the point you feel they'll keep things alive even if you falter for a moment.
Edited by delial on May 28 2008, at 06:37AM
