I think it has something to do w/ war.

I think this is a reference to war b/c from what I know the military uses Sherman tanks in war. If I'm wrong somebody correct me.
i think this sing is from the perspective of someone who is really jealous of this guy called slick. Maybe the Thai Noodles just have to do with his crazy affixiation with slick, that he knows all about him. And from the last line, it sounds like he leaves this whole message on slick's answering machine, because that's what those noises after "have you met ol slick!?" sound like. So basically, its about a guy who is obsessed with slick. In my opinoin. I could be wrong.
The sherman Tank referance has more to do with whats cooler than an SUV, well a tank hogs more gas, and whats endangered, buffalo. Slick is so damn cool, he drives a tank, with an endagered animal as upholstry. It could be from Slick's point of view, talking about himself to someone (woman?) tellimg them how great he is, or a friend of slick telling somone how great he is. Thats what i get out of it.
