Ex-Pats Of The Blue Mountain Symphony Orchestra Lyrics

Saturdays
Saturdays I’m reminded of
Bombs away
Over our houses when it could have been, should have been, doves

A mind to waste
Out on the street ya they’ll sign you up
Get a taste
Beat you down when it could have been, should have been, love

Ex-pats of the Blue Mountain symphony orchestra

If heaven’s above me
Then those starry skies they know me
And if it can’t get the blood off out hands
Then you and I we’ll get it off ourselves

So another day
Pissed away down the bar
Ain’t it a shame
Turned your head off when it could have been, should have been, on

Ex-pats of the Blue Mountain symphony orchestra

This sounds a lot like The Who's Won't Get Fooled Again.

'A mind to waste Out on the street ya they’ll sign you up Get a taste Beat you down'

kind of makes me think of drugs. i don't really get what the rest of the song's about. altho the 'bombs away over our houses when it could have been...doves' is talking about like, war and all the bad things in this world today that could be something better and nice, 'doves'. since most of his songs are about how the world right now is or is going to be shit.
