did i really need her? or was it just a sweet dream.
it lingers in the morning, like a melody...
over and over, all through the day
can't stop thinking bout how I'm feeling this way.
she moves like sea breeze, swirling about me
the fragrance that she leaves, hangs in the air
soft like a whisper, shes calling me to her..
these eyes have seen the most beautiful dream.

found each other staring at the waves
started talking, i couldn't break away..
i made plans to meet tonight, down by the pier
when midnight strikes gunna hope that shes near

she moves like sea breeze, swirling about me
the fragrance that she leaves, hangs in the air
soft like a whisper, shes calling me to her..
these eyes have seen the most beautiful dream.

---
she took my heart with one look in her eyes
to a place that feels like home...

she moves like sea breeze, swirling about me
the fragrance that she leaves, hangs in the air
soft like a whisper, shes calling me to her..
these eyes have seen the most beautiful dream.

The true meaning of this song belong to Tyrone Wells... but given the opportunity I would like to express what I think. By the way, there's nothing better than seeing Tyrone live at McClain. I love all of his music.

line1: sometime we are unsure of how we feel. Asking ourself, could this feeling be real or is it just a dream. That is what he is saying right here. line2,3,4: it must be love. A crush on someone. You just can't stop thinking about it. line 5,6,7,8: it's really nice how Tyrone words it. Being with someone you have a crush on feels like you're free from all the trouble in this world. line 9,10: now, it seems like he haven't been with her yet. It was all just a thought of being with her. line 11, 12: kinda like a cinderella huh? He is waiting for his love. I know, the feeling is exciting. line 13, 14, 15, 16: again, i love the way he puts this in words. line 17, 18: definitely, love at the first sight. line 19, 20, 21, 22: can't say enough about these lines... you have to listen to the actual song.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
