Only one other band has mastered telling a story while rocking....Iron Maiden!! Steve Harris would be proud of these guys.
A soothsayer (a man who can forsee events) comes to warn a king about an attack on his castle. The king denies the merit of the soothsayer. The king lays back thinking he is invincible even if an attack does take place. When the enemy attacks, the king is efventually taken prisioner. The soothsayer just laughs at the foolishness of the king.
Steve Harris must've liked them because they opened for maiden on the a matter of life and death tour somewhere in the states. I love these guys' songs they sound like maidens with heavier vocals anything that comes close to maiden deserve to be listened to. I agree with lineman63 on the meaning-great song!
I just started listening to these guys and they're from my hometown. I love the higher vocals, I'm glad to hear high screaming vocals that are not like the shitty screamo screaming.
Amon Amarth and Iced Earth are fairly decent as well at telling stories through their songs
