There's Too Much Love Lyrics
Amazing song. Like many of their songs, they each have a personal meaning to me, but, I'll try to decipher the real meaning of this song.
I'm guessing it's about this boy who has fallen for this girl, who's quite his opposite, or so she thinks. He is the typical perfectionist, organized, goody-goody, who is always following the rules. She is a rebel who goes her own way, against authority. Now, the girl has expressed her opinion of him, and he's feeling down and wants to be secluded. He feels like no one truly knows who he is, only the first impression, and that if given the chance, he could break the rules, too-- if only he had a new start where no one knew him. He thinks he's better than people make him out to be, and he's warning the girl of this, telling her that in the end, when he's counting on who is on his side, it would be for the good of the girl to be on that list. But then he decides that there might just be no point in trying to change for the girl... He should just keep his head down and continue to be the passive and nice type of boy he really is, because he's already let the girl know how he feels, and he can't do anything about it anymore, nor can he suppress his feelings, no matter how different the two are. Despite this indifference, he can't help himself from changing into who she would be interested in, something that he wishes he wouldn't do, but subconsciously, he can't stop it. He blames this new change on her, because she's the one who's made him do it. He feels many new emotions for her, all of which he can't help.
the instrumentals at the end of this.. wow
"im brutal honest and afraid of you" i love that. i wish i knew how you came up with such great ideas. you guys are love. i love you guys
it's my personal anthem
Same
Brighterrr got it pretty much perfect. This guy is play-it-safe type who falls for a girl so opposite of him. He wants to be different like her, but is afraid of changing just so she'll like him.
I first heard this song in this Charlie Brown video: (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXFzs-SWo4A). Now I always associate this song with winter/Christmas/the holiday season. I also really love the violins at the end. They don't overpower the rest of the song and make for a pretty, fitting intrumental close :)
This song reminds me of that person with a huge heart, who cares a lot about people, but no one returns the favour of caring for them.
The same one that we see in "I'm a Cuckoo," that obsessive longing and sadness wrapped up in love.
