He's in love with her, but he doesn't want you to tell her. Heck, I don't even know who she is. Todd shouldn't be so concerned. In fact, if I was this girl then I'd probably be tipped off after hearing this song. I mean, who does he know that doesn't know he's in a band? OR, maybe that's the whole point... to tip of the girl without coming out and saying it so that she makes the first move...

I get more the impression that it's a girl he houses a definite interest for, but he's afraid if he tells her, she may not feel the same, and it would completely destroy the magic of what he feels for her, so he would rather her not know.
