to me this song means that all it takes is a leap of faith. people could be so perfect together but petty things get in the way. it doesnt matter what happens as long as youre together and in love.
to me, its about a guy who is still in love with his ex. he wants just one more chance to make things right, so he asks her to just trust in him again, and just believe that it will work. it seems like she doesnt want to be with him again, he "nothing to her", and he cant move on from her. yep. i love this song.
He made mistakes. She can't forgive and forget. He's begging her to trust him again, but can you really blame her for not letting go of the past?
the song name is actually a level on Halo. what this has to do with the song meaning itself, I don't know. I just thought it was interesting.

I listened to this to get over a boy. didnt work so well
i think its about his ex and he can't get over her even though there are a few problems in places, like it seems like they have different beliefs in faith. But yeah he's trying to show him who he is and get her to trust his beliefs. Thats what i get out of it.
