well, anyway, that's what i think this song is about. about finding how much you love someone, and suddenly realizing how much they care for you and what they do for you....
i think that people keep telling him that God is the air he breathes. and he is telling us about how he was straying away from the air he breathes (God). And now he realizes. "I once was blind but now I see"
This is about religion, fairly certain. He has been breathing all of gods air, and he got on the wrong path, so he was suffocating. But at the end of the song he realizes the correct path. He says he will swallow his pride and take a deep breath and fall at your feet, which means he will stop caring what others will say and take a breath of religion.
