Head Unbound Lyrics

Fall around the fire,
And I, fall around the fire
A higher me for you,
Hire me for you
Fall around town, down
For the rest of the world to drown
For you'll come down
To the rest of your falling down,
On your head
Falling down
With your head unbound
I’m falling down
Down to your ground
Fall around town, down
For the rest of the world to drown
For you'll come down
To the rest of your falling down,
On your head
And I said you could hurt me
No more,
With your heart on the floor
I said you could hurt me no more
To the rest of the world it's sure
That you will hurt me no more
To the rest of the world,
You’re surely hurting more
I’m falling down
Downtown to your ground

Cover art for Head Unbound lyrics by Melissa Auf Der Maur

i love this metaphor. I think melissa is saying that her partner dosnt realize it yet but he is lower than she is. And when she is tired of him, he will hurt her no more. For she i higher than he is "a higher me for you". He will fall down long and hard, and he will only find upon falling that he has more falling to do because he fooled himself into thinking he was higher that he really was.(walking on thin ice) Now he will suffer."For you'll come down To the rest of your falling down, On your head"

Now hel will be the one in pain and agony "Youre surely hurting more "
