When I hear this song I feel like she wants to say, 'Hey, Stop judging me for everything I do, if I fuck things, it's my problem, I've got a right to be wrong' ...But everybody has a point of view!!

I'm in a situation that this song could definately apply to... =\ I think this song means one of two things: 1.) I'm new here- I don't know the ropes yet, so I shouldn't be lynched for the mistakes I've made. 2.) I'm new here, and these guys are all like "Like me, like me, like me... You are soooo WRONG for not liking me...", and that's where I come in and I'm like, "I've got a RIGHT to be wrong!"

I think it means,that if shes been held down "trying" to do the right thing always..maybe to please everyone else,and everyone wants her to be one way,but shes saying she has a right to be wrong..a right to make her own decisions..a right to choose for her self..and if she makes mistakes by living her life and her own decisions...she has a right to be wrong!..way to go...
to me this is all about growing up, wanting to make your own mistakes, wanting to be independent, to fulfill your own expectation rather than your parents', relatives'... i think it's great as a motto for anyone who has reached this point in his life

This song is so powerful. Especially for women because a woman sings it and with such conviction too. I play this song from time to time to center me when everyone's opinions start to cloud me.
