And Then, Came Then Lyrics
My world be ashes, and a casket for all I want
The apocalypse, this way comes. So come
Sing this song
Repent: Kingdom
The end is here and she will not remain silent
The Devil is in Atlanta
City: Surrounded
Army: Surrounded
Fort: Surrounded
The apocalypse, this way comes. So come
Sing this song
Repent: Kingdom
The end is here and she will not remain silent
The Devil is in Atlanta
City: Surrounded
Army: Surrounded
Fort: Surrounded

pretty straightfoward message about the return of Christ. also, on the full length album, the last line is "the civilians panic".
awesome song, I love it... I agree w/ imamachinegun.
omg that part.....repent kingdom! THE END IS HERE! i love that part.. this band rules. norma jean is so amazing also.
it kinda' sounds like the lyrics on the album aren't so exact with what's in the booklet. after the first "The Devil is in Atlanta, Army: Surrounded", it almost sounds like he says "Our hearts are in Atlanta..."
'course i could be way wrong. It also sounds like he left out "City: Surrounded" and "Fort: Surrounded" altogether, unless they're being screamed by the backing voals.
When the strings come back in, it also sounds like he says "So RUN" or "so COME" again.
I think this is my favorite song on the album. I like it the more I listen to it. Amazing song.
you may have a point about lyrics being left out, Childe. it's common for Josh to either slur his screaming together so much that stuff gets left out, or at least appears to be left out.
i love this song. the actual lyrics at the end are "The Army Is Surrounded. The Civilians Panic." those lyrics listed above are from the demos that used to be located on hxcmp3.com. everyone should get this cd and/or read the booklet. they are worth supporting.
this is my favorite Chariot song! :)
It's weird that Dimmu Borgir and The Chariot or Norma Jean both evoke similar feelings with their music, but are singing about completely opposite things! Is it wrong to love both (for their artistry?)
greatest.song. when the strings kick in at the end, man, you know this was a well-constructed song. beautiful, and incredible live. josh is great, josh is great. keller harbin does some sweet guitar work. just...my favorite song from my favorite band.
the devil is in atlanta, folks. army surrounded.
I love how Josh always uses "she" in reference to lucifer or some type of chaos thats going to unfold. If you look at norma jeans old lyrics like face:face he does it in that song as well.
