This song reminds me of a bf I had one time that was way too damn needy and clingy. Every other word out of his mouth was either how much he needed me, or how much he couldn't do without me... after a while that got very old! Needless to say I broke up with him pretty quickly, but it still was a messed up experience. This song is just like my situation in that the guy is very dependent and needy and doesn't feel like he'll survive without her. It's easy to feel bad for him because he is genuinely in love with this girl, but still... it's bad for the girl who is getting smothered. Tevin says, "Everything I do I do for you." Do you know how much pressure that puts on the girl? And just because the guy feels that way doesn't mean she feels the same way about him. You can't force someone to love you, and any attempts to do so will simply push them farther away. I love this song, and in essence it is very sweet; because hell let's face it: everybody wants to be loved. But, this song reminds me that too much love can be scary.
Yeah but you can see this is essentially on the verge of a break-up, and hes showing how much he cares. I don't think he just says it all the time cos yeah - that would get old and tiresome... I think hes just showing how much this girl means to him before she walks away
