Untitled 12 Lyrics
So now think of fear, as a person who, wants to know everyone, and what they love,
And he comes at nite, while you're laying there, he just knows, oh he knows, he gets in your head
Now walk through the door, the same one you came in, so we can go back, to how things used to be,
And just walk through the door, the same one, you came in, so we can go back, to how things used to be
He holds the key, to your smile and he, won't let you, to close to half of what you want,
But not I, think of it, we've known him our whole life, and we still don't know who, or what he wants
Just walk through the door, the same one, you came in, so we can go back to how things used to be,
And just walk through the door, the same one, you came in, so we can go back to how things used to be
So now walk, through the door, the same one, you came in, so we can, go back, how it used to be,
And I'll wait, right here, with my arms, by my side, till I can, have back, what I loved before
Now walk through the door, the same one you came in, so we can go back how things used to be,
And I will wait right here, with my arms by my side, until I can, have back, what I loved before
And he comes at nite, while you're laying there, he just knows, oh he knows, he gets in your head
And just walk through the door, the same one, you came in, so we can go back, to how things used to be
But not I, think of it, we've known him our whole life, and we still don't know who, or what he wants
And just walk through the door, the same one, you came in, so we can go back to how things used to be
And I'll wait, right here, with my arms, by my side, till I can, have back, what I loved before
And I will wait right here, with my arms by my side, until I can, have back, what I loved before

More I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody's Business
But When The Little Fellow Came Close And Put Both Arms Around His Mother, And Kissed Her In An Appealing Boyish Fashion, She Was Moved To Tenderness
So I Finally Decided to Give Myself a Reason

goooood- it talks about fear as a person i think---its a fear of being with a person he used to have-because the chorus goes on about going back to how it used to be- then the verses are about fear- tough...all of ace's songs on 'i can make a mess' are tough to comprehend.
its about god, or whatever he believes in as a superior being i think
correct me if iM wrong, but it seems to be a love-hate relationship. well, not "love-hate" persay, but more of a love-fear relationship.
I think its about a relationship that started out great. He was happy, she was happy, everything was great. He was finally happy. Then it started to go down hill. And everything came to an end. And he was alone again. But he still loves her, and hes willing to wait to have her back, the way things were from the start, when he was happy.
such a good song.
Sounds almost theological to me, which struck me as interesting as it's not something Ace Enders tends to write about. I think he's reassuring the listener that fear is nothing to be fearful of.
The lines:
Now walk through the door, the same one you came in, so we can go back, to how things used to be, And just walk through the door, the same one, you came in, so we can go back, to how things used to be
I think he's saying that in birth and death, we're visiting the same place.
However,
He holds the key, to your smile and he, won't let you, to close to half of what you want, But not I, think of it, we've known him our whole life, and we still don't know who, or what he wants
He's pretty much talking about fear as if it "he" was physical.
