i think its just about saying "no, its my time now, and youre nto gonna stop me doing what i want to"

its about taking things in your own hands, and facing whats to come. not holding back and being strong.

i agree that Evanescence and Within Temptation shouldn't really be compared, they both have unique sounds and their songs carry different meanings.

I love this song,I could listen to it over and over again! this song makes me think(on a personal note)of avoidance of something. for me it would be shyness/or fear.I know its not the songs original meaning but this just what comes to mind when I hear this song.so here I go:

"I Can See When You Stay Low Nothing Happens " I can see staying "under the radar"/or being shy doesn't make anything happen

"Does It Feel Right? Late At Night Things I Thought I'd Put Behind Me Haunt My Mind " it doesn't feel right,and at nigh before I go to sleep or if I go for a walk things Ithough I put behind me haunt me.

"I Just Know There's No Escape Now Once It Sets It's Eyes On You But I Wont Run Have To Stare It In The Eyes" I know no mater how I try to hide from "it"/my fears/shyness It will always catch up with me,Like a predator once it has its eyes on you there's no escape. but I need to stop running and stare it/my shyness/fears in the eyes.

"Stand My Ground I Won't Give In No More Denying I've Gotta Face It Won't Close My Eyes And Hide The Truth Inside If I Don't Make It, Someone Else Will Stand My Ground " I need to stand my ground like a rock against the rivers current. no more denying that I need to face it. if I don't always make it someone I love will(help me)

"It's All Around Getting Stronger, Coming Closer Into My World I Can Feel That It's Time For Me To Face It Can I Take It?" my fears/shyness is all around,getting stronger to more I dont face it taking over my life/world. the more it does,the more I feel I need to face it,but can I take it on?

"Though This Might Just Be The Ending Of The Life I Held So Dear But I Won't Run There's No Turning Back From Here " now that I acknowledge it this might be the end of the life I really hold close to me. but its too late to look back and run.

to me this song means; "i have had enough of this rubbish its my turn to cause hell for others

Really like this song, although I think this song draws them the comparisons with Evanescence, even the video is a bit samey to 'Bring me to life'. Not necesarily a bad thing, but I think WT have a lot more to offer with songs like Memories, Jillian etc. and people should hear songs like Ice Queen and mother earth before drawing comparisons.

The video is really great though, although I always find the end when you see them in the boat to bit funny.

They sound totally different...but i love them all the same!!!! Please come to Australia WT...hehe preferrably of the ACT/sydney area :P

imo, it is about not being a loser anymore.. stop making excuses.. dun have to be scared n try our very best.. it is rather motivational.. telling oneself not to be a shrinking violet anymore.. and work hard to achieve one's goal.

wt and evanescence are unique in their respective ways.. i love both.. their musics gave a huge impact on me.. surprisingly, there is not a single songs of theirs' that i dun like..

I've listened to this over and over again, mostly cos it remindes me that I have to be more dependent now that I don't have a boyfriend and I live alone. It somewhat means to me that I won't take anymore bullshit from him. So I'm on my own, and it's better that way...

there is one sentence that i dont get in this song but jumps out the most: If I Don't Make It, Someone Else Will

when i heard the song for the first song this sentence got my attention. and i thought the song was about revenge wich that sentence would imply. but obviously the song is not about revenge

so what does that sentence mean?
