Here's my interpretation:

It's about the teenage/young adult generation.

"We are the ones, the ones forgotten, and this time the future is ours. It’s in our hands" This line is saying that as young adults, we are sometimes forgotten or pushed aside, by parents or society or whatnot, but that in the end, we are the future.

"We’re the tear in your eyes, we’re the blood in your veins, we’re the beat of your heart." This line, as well as all the other lines that start out "We're the..." is talking about the teenagers' parents, especially with this verse:

"We’re the pride of your lives We’re the light shining deep in your eyes We’re the choice that you made We’re the smile on your face when you sleep at night"

"Nothing to lose, together we stand up tall, we are one." That line is saying that as the next generation, we need to work together.

Yeah, so mostly I think this song is about parents and their teenagers and how the teenagers are the future.

Yeah, this song is kinda hard to interpretate, but you hit it right on the nose.

Since younger people are often pushed aside or unotticed, this song is describing what the younger generation are feeling about others ignoring them.

Basically it is about how a child is raised and how it will affect how they treat the parents later on in life.

this song is about kinda the kids that were picked on and the kids who are underdogs and the ones that are yes forgotten about and it about them rising up and changing the future b/c its their turn to do something

Correction in the lyrics... It's supposed to be "We are the lost, the ones forgotten" and not "We are the ones, the ones forgotten". I know because I have the CD. Anyway, I think this is a song about things in the past like decisions made and words said that have come back to haunt someone even if they have long been forgotten. This is one of my favorites from the new album. I often find myself popping in the CD and changing to track 10 when I have nothing to do.

i agree with Yasmine14. this song is kinda saying that only the new generation wicch is us, can change the future that we can keep disasters from happening such as columbine and other such tragedies. that even though parents will always end up ignoring their children, they have friends that can hlep them through things and together they can accomplish anything

"we're the kids you pushed away" definatly the kids outcasted. I can relate to that soo much. "we're the voice in your head" i think they're talking about the bully's concience..like the voice they get when they start to feel bad. I love how on "we're the beat of your hearts" the drums get louder.
