I hope I get this right...

This song was written about someone he knew that killed himself. (think it was a friends brother or something like that) It basically says not to take the easy way out of a problem by killing yourself.

"Weakness fills your heart again You put it to rest" Put it to rest = kill yourself

"Forfeit everything 'Cause you were never strong enough " talks about how you weren't strong enough to face the problem so you were weak and killed yourself.

Not the average approach to suicide, but I like it. Don't be weak.

fucking amazing song. i think it has something to do with some guy not being able to handle things in his life. he needs to sort out his life, find a girlfriend and whatever, otherwise he's just a memory to everybody because of something he could do to himself.

I actually think this is a Tragic story put into a song... I think that its a friend of his that he cares for, and he doesn't wanna lose this person or anything but the person keeps getting worse and worse until they end their life...

"Fear falls hard like rain again Washing over me You say nothing will ever change What do i believe You fall deep inside again Nothing left to see Weakness fills your heart again You put it to rest" This pretty much means that the person he is talking about has alot of problems and alot of depression, loneliness and such, he tries to convince them that he cares for them but they refuse to listen because things just keep getting worse and worse, and this person must have a low self esteem and believe that no one cares for them, and is too blinded by this theory that he won't realize that the singer is telling the truth.

"Forfeit everything 'Cause you were never strong enough Close my eyes again And pray that i will not give up" Here he is saying that this person wasn't strong enough to survive, and it hurt him really bad seeing his friend in this shape, and then his friend killed themselves so now he is very sad and this really hurt him, but hes trying to not give up and not end up like his friend...

"I try to see your face again A Photograph for me Your voice calling out again Nothing left for me You try to find your place again Waiting just to breathe Weakness takes your heart again You put it to rest" Once again he says that this person couldn't handle the pressure so they "put their heart to rest" because they could not find happiness anywhere, so now hes looking at a picture of this person and he misses them and it still saddens him, he wishes he had not lost his friend at all like this.

"Did you forget about the things i said Fight the lies inside your head Deny those who try to bring you down Kill the pain and emptiness Find a love and lose yourself Without this life you're just a memory" Okay in this line, he tries to reach out to this friend of his and try to convince them that things will get better, and also give them some advice but they didn't take it and ended it all...

So in a nutshell his friend commited suicide and now its really hurting him. My theory anyway, I wonder if I'm right....

Yeah, This song is about one of Paul's Sisters Friends who committed suicide over a failed relationship..paul's sister came to him and asked him if he would write a song to kinda help people who are in the same situation..so they have something to kinda look to...and "Photograph" is the end result..paul sit down and he was sad yet angry that someone would take their life in a weak way over such a trivial matter...this song basicly says step up...and don't be stupid it's not worth killing yourself over. ..I also believe to my understanding is was supposed to be writtin from the point of view of the ex-girlfriend
