This is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard. Sarah's love shaved his head bald to make her feel better about going to prom when she's bald from her chemo... And it makes her get more courage and not be so scared.

Even though it's really sad, I absolutely love this song. Clearly, its about a girl with cancer who loses her hair from chemo, but its also about more than that. I think the reason sarah Beth is so scared in the song is because she imagines herself dying without ever being given the chance to fall in love. in the end, when Sarah is dancing carelessly with the boy who loves her despite all her imperfections, the line "for a moment she isn't scared" is the perfect ending. You see, the fact that Sarah Beth got her wish doesn't change the fact that she's sick and might die. Its just that now she has experienced love, she's no longer afraid of dying.
It means that if you truly love someone you will do anything to cheer them up. Sarah's love shaved his head just to make her feel better about goinbg to the prom bald. That is true love.

this song makes me cry because it means so much, knowing someone who recently died from cancer and married the man she loved so much while she was going through chemo

this is a wonderful song about love and what you will do for the one you truly love. the ending brought tears to my eyes when she sees that he shaved his head for her. It shows what you will do for the one you love. a beautiful song.
yeah, like all of you guys, i still cry when i hear this song sometimes :D it's just so sweet. i love country songs that are like, almost "ironic" or whatever you wanna call it. like this one started out sad and then had a happy, sweet ending. the ones that have the same chorus throughout the song, but they're talking about different things in each verse. and for the record (i'm a real pain when it comes to spelling stuff), i'm pretty sure that it's Sara Beth, not Sarah Beth.
