The guy in this song is really depressed,he wants to kill himself,and he takes his girlfriend with him...he kills her before his own death
Yeah, basically what he's saying is at first is that he wants to kill himself to end his pain. But then when he goes through with it, he sees that nothing is better than it was before, and now he is still just a lost soul.
This song is basically about being really fucking depressed. Good closer.
