This song scares the hell out of me and I don't know why. But this is another display of Devendra's genius...he writes songs like no other.

This in one of Devendra's best songs. That combination of imagery just sets my mind off in all directions - person in suit and tattooes - pale horse. like the cover of 'Desertshore' by Nico. That intensity in his voice doesn't come across in later recordings, except here and there in 'crippled crow'
