i think you guys are kind of off. i just went to a live head automatica show and before the song he mentioned its about the spoiled brat girls in LA who spend time in hair salons...thats what he said lol i don't have any background on how he feels about LA but i don't think he talked about it as a positive place during the show.

I see it as a look at all these Hollywood types who mix together various religions to formulate what they believe. It also may be his disgust with organized religion; I don't really know his religious beliefs.

i think this song is about someone turning the "Good girl" into a "bad girl", so to speak.

Yeah I kinda also get the feeling that it's about a girl who a guy (possibly even the singer) really wants to have sex with, but she's denying him it based on her faith, and he obviously doesn't like that so he's trying to 'tempt' her into it. He's getting really worked up and angry because she's then like the forbidden fruit that he really wants but still can't have, and only because she has a level of self-control and morality that he obviously doesn't.

This song did put me off the band a bit, I know it shouldn't have... Like, I know that songs are just songs, but this one sounds like it might reflect real feelings of hatred towards 'God' which in my book is just dumb... But other people have said the same, so I guess I'm not alone?!
