I'm pretty sure this song's about God, i have met the guys in this band, my roommate is really good friends with the guitarist.
You might be right.. but i think this song is definatly about a girl. He says certain things like "your the perfect one for me" and the "times weve spent together." Its about the girl of his dreams.. hes wondering if this is really love.
i simply adore this song i think its about that special someone, being everything and perfect...yet just out of his reach
jeff (the writer) is married. i'm not sure when he wrote this, but yeah...it sure does sound like he could have written it before he got married to her or something...or maybe wrote it after they were married...regardless though, i think it's about his wife, and not so much God. it sucks...number one gun broke up recently. they'll be missed as a band.

I know this was looooooong ago, but no Number One Gun is not broken up. The band disbanded for a while and everyone thought that was it. Jeff (the singer) started a new band by himself called "The North Pole Project" with tooth and Nail. After hearing some of the songs, the label told Jeff that since the music sounded similar to Number One Gun, maybe he should just keep the name and release his new album with the title "The North Pole Project" rather than changing the band name to it. So the new album "The North Pole Project" by Number One Gun should be releasing this fall.
The song is about Jeff's wife. he told my brother that =)
