Like Dylan in the Movies Lyrics
Lisa's kissing men like a long walk home
When the music stops
Take a tip from me, don't go through the park
When you're on your own, it's a long walk home
If they follow you
Don't look back
Like Dylan in the movies
On your own
If they follow you
It's not your money that they're after, boy, it's you
Pure easy listening, settle down
On the pillow soft when they've all gone home
You can concentrate on the ones you love
You can concentrate, hey, now they've gone
But if they follow you
Don't look back
Like Dylan in the movies
On your own
If they follow you
It's not your money that they're after, boy, it's you
Yeah, you're worth the trouble and you're worth the pain
And you're worth the worry, I would do the same
If we all went back to another time
I will love you over
I will love you over
I will love you
If they follow you
Don't look back
Like Dylan in the movies
On your own
If they follow you
Tenderly you turn the light out in your room
When the music stops
Take a tip from me, don't go through the park
When you're on your own, it's a long walk home
Don't look back
Like Dylan in the movies
On your own
If they follow you
It's not your money that they're after, boy, it's you
On the pillow soft when they've all gone home
You can concentrate on the ones you love
You can concentrate, hey, now they've gone
Don't look back
Like Dylan in the movies
On your own
If they follow you
It's not your money that they're after, boy, it's you
And you're worth the worry, I would do the same
If we all went back to another time
I will love you over
I will love you over
I will love you
Don't look back
Like Dylan in the movies
On your own
If they follow you
Tenderly you turn the light out in your room

I think the Dylan thing is just a clever thing to say. The song is about looking out for rapists in the park when you're walking home alone.
Although, come to think of it, the Dylan movie is heavy on scenes depicting Bob Dylan surrounded by (and fighting with/fighting off) adoring fans. It's not his money they want, it's a piece of him they're after. So maybe there's some meaning there after all.
Apparently, this song was written after a bout of paranoia suffered by Stuart Murdoch when walking through Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow.
I think it is about a relationship with an older more exprienced person, lisa, and another who has adulation for their mentor or crush.
"Lisa's kissing men like a long walk home When the music stops Take a tip from me, don't go through the park When you're on your own, it's a long walk home"
Lisa realizes that the situation between the two has no long term value. She knows she is on her own.
"Don't look back"
She has to avoid emotional fallout of encouraging the relationship further..
"it's not the money that their after, boy, it's you"
This means that the benefit for the boy with Lisa is an obsession to possess her rather than focus on what he appreciates and has learned from her.
"Your worth the trouble"
That means that at least the boy did learn some things and Lisa and the boy/man would do the same again if they had a redo on life.
"Tenderly you turn the light out in their room"
This means that Lisa does like the boy, but she sees that he has an unhealthy obsession with her,
I have a feeling the last two lines means that you have to accept the fact that people adulate you, and that there is nothing you can do about it but slowly disappear by "tenderly you turn the light out in your room".
However, like all B&S songs, the hell do I know...
On a metaphorical level, this song is about the courage. The courage to do the things that aren't expected of you and the anxiety and fears that haunt you but you can't seem to escape.
Correct this song is fantastic - Your worth the trouble your worth the pain - B & S have all the hooks all the looks - everybody else just stop now.
one of my favourite b&s songs. I love the way the music stops after the second line.
"Don't Look Back" wasn't made by Bob Dylan, it was made by D.A. Pennbaker ABOUT Dylan. big difference.
