this is a great song. i think it means just don't close yourself off. don't be afraid to be love someone, or be loved. you don't need to "lock up" your heart "with cold cold ice." don't be so cold. and then i think shes saying shes starting to open up when she says shes melting. her heart isn't ice anymore. i donno. thats what i get out of it

I think that sounds about right. I think it also means that you shouldn't close yourself off from what happens in the rest of the world.

this song helped me through a difficult time in which i am still going through she is saying never leave your heart alone i believe she put her heart out there and it was refused that why you should never leave your heart alone. it doesnt feel very nice here out in the cold sheis crying because she was and is hurting and she i s a bit lost in what to do. as an artist myself i know how it must feel for her to write a song like this it takes alot to put yourself out there for me its about the person hearing the song because they will know exactly what im talking about they may not understand it though. she is very brave to let who ever broke her heart know that they did it i hope that when they hear this song they realise her courage and how much pain they caused her.
