Peace Attack

This is a simple song with few words that speaks volumes. It's a soothing song that's simply about peace. "Spring time is war time." I love that line. It's a nice song that shows how people try to bring war through peace. It just can't work. Hence the title, peace attack.

Obviously, this is about Iraq. Peace attck means that those who are calling themselves "forces of peace and democracy" are instead attacking, bombing, burning, destroying and killing. The song goes on in typical SY manner with a few words that make little sense, but may arouse some associations. Like, Jerry Rubin times and all that.

3rd of Feb is Lee's birthday.

This is my favourite song off nurse.

The video to this song is awesome, the song itself is so harmonic and soothing. All of Sonic nurse is for that matter.

I don't think it's about war. To me it feels like peace, how it can come on so strongly and blow your mind into euphoria sometimes. Also seems like a bit of a meditation, just a few incongruous words strung together to describe the day.

i agree, awesome video but the rabbit thing kinda looks like a telli-tubbie, but thats cool ,i'm all for the telli-tubbies, they are peaceful and harmonious and they arnt homophobic considering that the purple one is gay. anyway!

This is the name of my own band. We sound nothing like Sonic Youth, though. To me it's just a phrase about the contrast between two extremes. Either way it's a nice song.
