The House of the Rising Sun (Animals cover) Lyrics
There is a house in New Orleans,
They call the Rising sun.
Well it's been the ruin of many a poor boy,
And God I know I'm one.
Oh mother, tell your children,
Not to do what I have done.
You spend your lives in sin and misery
In the house of the Rising Sun.
Well there is a house in New Orleans
They call the Rising sun.
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy,
And God I know I'm one.
They call the Rising sun.
Well it's been the ruin of many a poor boy,
And God I know I'm one.
Not to do what I have done.
You spend your lives in sin and misery
In the house of the Rising Sun.
They call the Rising sun.
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy,
And God I know I'm one.

I can't belive nobody else even knew this song. As soon as I heard about a Muse version, I could imagine what it would sound like, and it was EXACTLY like this. Matt is such a great singer, they made this totally their own! I'm not really sure what it's about, probably literally a house of sin!
It's about a brothel... But this song is such a good cover, they've amped it up and it works really well...
i've loved this song for ages and i've only just heard the Muse version and it's soooooo good! I LOVE it! It sounds nothing like the original, I agree with MikkiMouse, they have made it their own! I love Matt Bellamy. I wish I was his wife...
This song is gushing lush!!!!! sooooooo gotta luff it!!!!! ahhhhhhhmazingness in a bottle
this wasnt originaly by the animals :|
Its thanx to this song that Im now a huge fan of Muse! I was going to download this song and I saw that Muse had made a cover of it and downloaded it too, and its fucking spectacular! Best damn cover ever (much better than the original)! I downloaded a couple of songs more and that same day I bought Absolution!
This si an AMAZING cover of a fab song. Shows that Muse can make anyhting their own. If you want another awesome cover, listen to "can't take my eyes off of you" (originally by Andy Williams)
This is honestly one of if not THE BEST cover I have heard in a while. Seriously. Whenever it gets to the part where Matt sings, "While you spend your life in sin and misery..." I get chills. He gives this gutteral wail that is just...amazing. Wow.

Brilliant cover. Brilliant, brilliant cover.
Telegram is so right. That's why I like Matt Bellamy and Chris Cornell. Matt Bellamy really puts his full voice into it. Not like that girly Razorlight shit.
