I Go Crazy Lyrics
Hello boy, it's been a while
Guess you'll be glad to know
That I've learned how
To laugh and smile
Getting over you was slow
Then say old lovers
Can be good friends
But I never thought
I'd really see you again
I'd never see you again
I go crazy, you know
When I look in your eyes
I still go crazy
No my heart just can't hide
That old feeling inside
Way deep down inside
Oh baby
You know
When I look in your eyes
I go crazy
You say she satisfies your mind
Tells you all of her dreams
I know how much
That means to you
I realize that I was blind
Just when I thought
I was over you
I see your face
And it just ain't true
You know it just ain't true
I go crazy, you know
When I look in your eyes
I still go crazy
No my heart just can't hide
That old feeling inside
Way deep down inside
Oh baby
You know
When I look in your eyes
I go crazy
Guess you'll be glad to know
That I've learned how
To laugh and smile
Getting over you was slow
Then say old lovers
Can be good friends
But I never thought
I'd really see you again
I'd never see you again
When I look in your eyes
I still go crazy
No my heart just can't hide
That old feeling inside
Way deep down inside
Oh baby
You know
When I look in your eyes
I go crazy
Tells you all of her dreams
I know how much
That means to you
I realize that I was blind
Just when I thought
I was over you
I see your face
And it just ain't true
You know it just ain't true
When I look in your eyes
I still go crazy
No my heart just can't hide
That old feeling inside
Way deep down inside
Oh baby
You know
When I look in your eyes
I go crazy

I don't know who Frank Zimmerman and Derrick Stevens are but they did not write the lyrics to this song. A word is changed here and there, and a line or two are doubled, but that just makes them arrangers. I haven't found this cover on the internet so I can't tell if the music is different. The actual composer and lyricist for the original song with these lyrics is Paul Davis, who also was the first artist to record it and make it famous. Until Thriller, it led the list for length of stay on the Billboard Top 40, though it didn't reach the top 5. A great song, and Paul Davis' most successful.
