To me this song sounds like a one-night or short period relationship, what ppl mostly do to delight theit sexual needs. In these relationships someone might want more then the other:

I really really love this song! I love the beat and the lyrics, its soo cool! lol Yes I think its meaning is that there is a guy or a girl and they didnt get to know one another well enough and now they have lost their chance to do so. "Before it even begins, Im a fish swimming without fins" backs up my point of a short term relationship that could have gone better and now he regrets not trying harder. great song, I like this one and I dont feel liek dancing the most. luv melissa xxxxxxxx
thank god that you can't get anything gay out of the lyrics, but knowing that half the band is gay creeps me out when I hear their music. I can only take lesbian music, like melissa etheridge, but not the village people or the scissor sisters.
