Ashes, Ashes Lyrics

I hope this terrifies you
Immoral suicide which burns inside you
I'll never let you out
Until you realize, knee-deep
Or buried alive in lies

Go, go, go believe
In everything you need
Take everything for granted
Distorting every memory
Knee deep and alone
You like it when you know
Just what I'm thinking

I hope this terrifies you
Immoral suicide which burns inside you
I'll never let you out
Until you realize knee deep or buried alive in lies
This time I won't let you in

Sweet like a child
Act like children
You run from your problems
Blurring the visions we set in our sides
(So what would you like)
Straight...

The kids are screaming at the tops of their lungs
While they are pointing their fingers at your loaded guns
Behind the places and backdrops
Firing explosives
Bridges are burning, we all fall down
We all fall down
We all fall down
We all fall down
We all fall down

I hope this terrifies you
I know it terrifies you
I'll be ok just go just go
We all fall down
I'll be ok
Let the bridges burn
We all fall down

correction(at least this is how it is on their life in dreaming CD): and the kids are screaming at the top of their lungs while they're pointing their fingers like they're loaded guns behind choices and backdrops the fire swarms if the bridges burn, we all fall down.

I have a few ideas on what this song means, but I'm not sure. I think "I hope this terrifies you Immoral suicide which burns inside you I'll never let you out" it's referring to someone, (girlfriend perhaps) and what he does or what he says it's sticks to her and makes her feel bad or guilty.

I dunno...

"The kids are screaming at the tops of their lungs While they are pointing their fingers at your loaded guns Behind the places and backdrops Firing explosives Bridges are burning, we all fall down"

that reminds me of the kids views on war...I think its like a cryout to the government(s) to let them see kids/teenagers opinions on what's going on in the world...I think the goverment like ot think they know what kids like/think/want, so its a kick up the bootay for them when they realise we're against war and all that jazz.

I think its generally about somebody thats done somthing wrong, and the narrator wants them to know that they have done wrong, that everyone else knows they've done wrong, and that they wont let the other person do it {whatever it was } again. Yet, its telling the wrong doer that we all make mistakes, and to just learn from them. ? Im not really sure.. Nonetheless, hipv is amazing.. to me, they dont sound like every other band out there..

It's sounds more like:

Go, go, go believe Wish everything you need Take everything for granted Distorting every memory Knee deep and now alone ( i could be; and you're alone?) You like it when you know Just what I'll be, yeah yeah

I think it's about a girl who generally takes everything for granted, blames everyone else, and always runs from her problems. And the guy's finally had enough of all of her lies and the problems she continues to deny. So I think this is him telling her she needs to sort of clean up her act, in other words stop lieing and running from everything and blaming everyone else for her mistakes. So I think this is him kind of leaving her, so she can learn and realize she has to change.

I'm probably wrong, but that's my interpretation. :]
