Bridge & Tunnel Lyrics
If you want, if you want to be the one he’s thinking of
You just need to understand
Just turn around
Just turn around
Oh-oh
You’re the only thing, the only thing that he has left
The only thing at all, the only thing at all
In the later hours when the packed bars start spitting cowards
They’re picking scars
Cell phones clenched along the sidewalk
The usually stay out of our way
The bridge and tunnel just seems to escape near our home
You just need to understand
Just turn around
Just turn around
Oh-oh
The only thing at all, the only thing at all
They’re picking scars
Cell phones clenched along the sidewalk
The usually stay out of our way
The bridge and tunnel just seems to escape near our home

I love this song, but it would be so easy to get a speeding ticket to.
Hmm. Maybe a guy is telling this woman about how much his friend really likes her, and she just hasn't realized it.
i guess the lyrics are not complete! there's this one part where his voice sounds kinda like the smiths.
,part of this song's lyrics aren't printed in the cd jacket so i guess the person who submitted these didn't want to guess or get the words wrong.
what i hear in the bridge:
well (while?) there's no one else around been waiting for countless hours though you would never, you would never measure up c-c-c-cause baby we'll all soon come to an end c-c-c-cause baby we'll all soon come to an end
great song..
This song is amazing! I have no idea what it's about though, apologies!
bridge and tunnel is a term used for the crowd of people who filter into New York City from the outskirts to enjoy the night-life by various means of transportation, such as 'bridges' or 'tunnels'.
this song, to me, means that a boy broke up with a girl, but she needs to get over him and let him go for him to realize that she is all he has left and that he wants her. so she gives up, waits "for countless hours" for him to come back, hoping that he would, although she would never measure up to be his ideal girl. maybe "we'll all come to an end" implies that he will never see what was in front of him, and there will be no use in waiting for him any longer ("the end"). his voice in this song sends shivers down my spine and got me hooked on the honorary title. although this song seems to be a bit hopeless, the music actually makes me feel hopeful and free.
mmmm, love it.
I think it's about a guy talking to his ex girlfriend. Well, at least he wants to tell her this, that she must get over him because he knows and wants what is best for her, which is her other man. He knows that the other guy is what she needs not him.
