Lead the Way Lyrics
I'm not above asking
Asking for your help
I'm not above asking
I know myself
For you to find a way
I'm not above trying to understand
I'm not above trying to take your hand
I'm not above (I'm not above)
I'm not above trying to understand
I'm not above trying to take your hand
I'm not above (I'm not above)
You come closer to me
Breaking through to you
And closer, hiding all
You know me better than I do
It's better if you lead the way
You know me better than I do
It's better if you lead the way
You know me better than I do
It's better if you lead the way
You know me better than I do
It's better if you lead the way
Asking for your help
I'm not above asking
I know myself
For you to find a way
I'm not above trying to take your hand
I'm not above (I'm not above)
I'm not above trying to understand
I'm not above trying to take your hand
I'm not above (I'm not above)
Breaking through to you
And closer, hiding all
It's better if you lead the way
It's better if you lead the way
It's better if you lead the way
It's better if you lead the way

THis song is about realizing Jesus and God for the first time. Its about salvation and letting your faith take completely over. I love this song so much.
I disagree. I think its about someone he loves who is very close to him. That could be God or it could be someone else. FSF has always prided themsleves on not being obvious w/ their lyrics--espically when it comes to religion. "We're all Christians, but we're not a Christian band."
Nope, reckless is right. Right they did say that, but if you listen to Against My Better Judgement it has a direct quote from the bible, Ecc. 5:3. It says "as a dream comes when there are many cares, so the speech of a fool when there are many words." I think this song is in fact about salvation.
Word-up. This song whether or not this has to do with Jesus (which I think it completely does), it has help me to always think of the positive side of letting go of yourself and being real with others (In my case though I am thinking of Jesus). That's what I like about this song
I can see how the lyrics could be taken either way. i think that the ambiguity of it makes it better, but if this song isn't about salvation, then i have no idea what a song about salvation sounds like.
"You come closer to me Breaking through to you And closer, hiding all"
Beautiful. I wish everyone had a relationship with Christ to take this song to the plane it is supposed to be listened on.
