Poison June Lyrics

Pictures of you I adore
Strewn across the bedroom floor
Your letters chronological
Heartbeat away from trigger pull

Is it true
What they speak of
You don't quite ever get over
Your first love

Stack of records ten feet high
Thousand songs to make me cry
Under covers close the doors
I won't be comin' out no more

Is it true
What they speak of
You don't quite ever get over
Your first love

Alcohol and concert hall
Consume that poison june x 2

It's been roughly seven days
Since I've seen the sun's warm rays
Mummy's worried Daddy's bored
Friends slip notes beneath the door

Sad but true the fact remains
The statics driving me insane
Burn these photos, clean the mess
I'll off her boy to relieve some stress

Is it true
What they speak of
You don't quite ever get over
Your first love

Alcohol and concert hall
Consume that poison june x 3

[Ohh, whoa-ohh
Hoo... you poisoned.. me
..I poisoned.... you]

Alcohol and concert hall
Consume that poison june x2

Pictures of you I adore
Strewn across the bedroom floor
Your letters chronological
Heartbeat away from trigger pull

Is it true
What they speak of
You don't quite ever get over
Is it true
What they speak of
You don't quite ever get over
Your first love

Not one my faves by Maxeen but I copied these brilliant lyrics and pinned 'em on my wall two years ago. Nataliexo, you are definitely right; I didn't take 'em down, yet.

It's about a guy who has locked himself up in his room because his 'first love' died. For me at least, i don't how the girl died, but I THINK it has to do with the girl drinking to much alcohol.

The girl hasn't died, she's moved on. He misses her, only having photographs left of their time together. He even contemplates suicide because they can't be together. Instead, he turns to alcohol and drowns his sorrows in drink.

I think you can get the rest of it from understanding this
