the storys old --- you say this sounds like conor?? I love Conor Oberst and I love Jesse Lacey...two amazingly wonderful, talented musicians...but I really hear no similarities. Anyways, great song! I love Jesse's voice in it..especially in the lyric "i wanna see it when you get stoned on a cloudy breezy desert afternoon" Great cover!!!!
Brand New's cover owns Built to Spill's original. Sorry BTS lovers, but Jesse's voice blasts Doug's voice out of the water and the acoustic feel is better than the original funky indie sound. Go back to the Built to Spill pages if you wanna talk about em.
I heard the Brand New version of the song before the original Built to Spill version, and upon just hearing the BTS song, I now believe the original is better.
