Hold Your Head Lyrics
We didn't come to negotiate
We didn't come so we could wait
We didn't come to change the world
We didn't come to fuck girls
We didn't come to see if it's true
We're not like you
Hold your head, now it's over
It's getting harder than it used to be
Time was slower than it used to be
We didn't come to imagine this
It's better to feel than to be like this
We didn't come so we could wait
We didn't come to change the world
We didn't come to fuck girls
We didn't come to see if it's true
We're not like you
It's getting harder than it used to be
Time was slower than it used to be
We didn't come to imagine this
It's better to feel than to be like this

ah the lips.
this song is full of contradiction and ambiguities making it very hard to figure out. at first, he is saying that we didn't come to wait, we came to act. then he says we didn't come to fuck girls, which is carpe diem..he concludes though, going back to carpe diem, not wanting to think or imagine, just FEEL.
pretty hellenic.
I think this song is about the cruel uneventful state of apathy...
Are you sure it's "time was slower than it used to be"? Every site I've seen says this but whenever I listen to the song I hear, quite clearly, "the devil is smarter than he used to be". ??
