I Gotta Pee

This song represents the cynicism bred from living in an oppressive society. When Melvin sings “I gotta pee” the seventh time, he is not only drawing upon Orwellian rhetoric but also Freudian theory. He expresses his feelings that by being led to cynicism so often, you often find yourself being pessimistic not because you are fundamentally opposed to an issue, but out of force of habit.

I think the way he finishes by saying “I gotta poop” he is changing his way of life — by relieving himself.

I was recently talking to Fat Mike (the songs lyricist) at a show, and he told me since writing this song, he has continued to poop — often twice a day. He said it helps him keep a level head.

obviously....the man has to pee and then gets the sudden urge to poo. LOL man this song is great..it's funny especially if you hear it cuz he says it really fast and the song as a whole is like 15 seconds lol

he hears a countdown in his head and starts running while screaming " I GOTTA PEE" and does not really care where he pee's and as soon as he pee's and feels better he all the sudden has to poop and the cycle begins again

According to the comic strip Sarah's Scribbles, here are times where one really needs to pee: 1)After getting into bed, 2)When roommates or family members just go into the shower, and 3) Just after getting ready to go for a five hour drive. Sarah must be singing this song when these situations occur and she really needs to pee.
