First off, this is an amazing song.
When I hear it I think it's about going out with a girl, when you suddenly realize behind those good looks, is a person without a brain, they don't know what they're talking about and they have virtually ZERO personality
The chorus to this song demands movement of some kind - Its just so powerful. Awesome song.
I agree with the interpretation above me though. This girls tried to ride though life on looks alone, but come up short:
"you thought you had it made you wanna cut a peice of cake you gotta have a bit of blade"
Talking to her is impossible; she's just on a different planet. Its all smalltalk, there's no substance to what she says:
