The Perfect Design Lyrics

Motions that make gods cringe running in circles
as fast as we can
take what you can 'cause now it's all over
run hot
and cold to break the skin
break the skin

and we won't take no for
an answer
for just when the door slams
the pill drops
oh my sweet unknowing partner the perfect design

the pill drops
so start the silent dance slumping silhouette
unforgiving hands harboring regret
play it just once more for old times

yeah....
you know
you know
you know you're all I ever wanted

yeah....
you know
you know
you know you're all I ever want

how we laughed when we first saw each other...
how you screamed when I saw your eyes melting...
this is the end of every rainbow
and now your face shatters
every waking second

and now your face shatters
every waking second

and now your face shatters
every waking second

Great closing song and lyrics for this concept album! It's messy and gives this sense of everything falling apart. All that keeps us alive is ending from destructive behavior.

One thing comes to mind when I hear this song...

...Ted Bundy.

Savior... there are plenty of other vocalists that don't have the privilege of being as insane as Mike Patton. Guess they're shit too, eh? =/

This song seems to be about drugging and raping a girl, much like "Setting Fire to Sleeping Giants."

"Motions that make gods cringe" = unwanted sexual acts.

"Won't take no for an answer" = basically what it says

"Just when the door slams, the pill drops" = the girl slams the door in disgust, not wanting anything to do with the guy, but then the pill she was given unknowningly earlier goes into effect and she passes out

"My sweet unknowing parter, the perfect design" = She's his sexual parter, unknowingly, because she's unconcious

"So start the silent dance" = sex/rape

"Slumping silhouette" = her passing out

The only thing I'm not sure on is what "Now your face shatters every waking second" means or is referring to, but the way it's screamed in this song is amazing.

I don't see why every fucker out there says he is like Mike Patton. I'm sorry, I'm not seeing much Mike Patton in this guy. When he sings at the beginning of "Setting Fire To Sleeping Giants', maybe al ittle, but that's it. I think he's a great vocalist. A lot better than that fucking Dimitri butthole. s for the song... The perfect Design, or the perfect girl, for him was a girl in complete agony.

man, a real tragedy about DEP finding this lameass as a frontman. Someone needs to slap this fool on the mouth and tell him that he IS NOT Mike Patton. Oh well, their will always be their previous shit. Timeless
