Screaming At The Wailing Wall Lyrics

Forgot how come every wrong's been done, with deals no Christ should allow
Once the communist, now the terrorist with blood as thick as yours
Now a caravan of cows warns us all of winter showers
Then a rattle, comes a rain with each bullet screams your name

Oh how come this carrying storm pours little on the truth?
Where the smoking gun's a familiar song echoes
With the bombed-out cars come the falling stars from a heaven we'll never know
And the nameless names on the misspelled graves grow tall
We're still screaming at the Wailing Wall

I liberate your people's fate, spoke the burning bush
But the song of beasts, drown their oil-soaked teeth
Their dollar is mighty and true
Now the eagle soars the sky over refugee and child
And to all there is no end, another day in perfect hell

So how come the carrying storm pours little on the truth?
Where the smoking gun's a familiar song echoes

All hail

Now a caravan of cows warns us all of deadly showers
Then a rattle, comes a rain with each bullet screams your name

So how come this carrying storm pours little on the truth?
Where the smoking gun's a familiar song echoes
With the bombed-out cars come the falling stars from a heaven we'll never know
And the nameless names on the misspelled graves grow tall
We're still screaming at the Wailing Wall

Oh I liberate your people's fate, as we scream at the Wailing Wall

This is not just an anti bush song. It is merely telling the truth. In these trying times, people turn to all sorts of places. They try to blame the president, they try to blame God. There are so many religous symbols in this song it's incredible. My thoughts on this, from the beginning: -once the communist now the terrorist-tells how the worlds enemy has turned from communism in the post WWII era to the terrorist in todays world. -the gathering storm- can be seen as all the investigations and what not going on but have nothing to do with the truth -bombed out cars-are obviously car bombs and their victims -nameless names on the mispelled graves-are our soldiers and innocents taken by terrorism and what-not -liberate your people siad the bunin' Bush- bush promising freedom -growl with oil soaked teeth-the oil barons and iraq's supply -the eagle soars the sky....-talks about how america is strong and is "above" everyone else -as we scream at the wailing wall- the wailing wall is a very important religious symbol, especially in the end times, said to be where people will turn after the apocalypse. This also suggests that we are blaming god for all our problems and that while everyone is willing to put all this effort towards pointing fingers and spreading the blame, no one knows what to do.

Take it or leave it, that's my opinion.

does anyone else see how this could be an anti-president bush song?

There are a lot of errors in these lyrics...

So god how come every wrong's been done? With deals no Christ should allow, Once the communist now the terrorist, With blood as thick as yours, Now a caravan of clouds, Warns us all of winter showers, Then the rattle comes the rain, With each bullet screams your name, (Chorus) So how come this gatherin storm, Pours little on the truth? Where the smokin' gun's a familiar song let loose, With the bombed out cars, Come the falling stars, From a heaven we'll never know, And the nameless names, On the misspelled graves grow tall, We're still screamin' at the Wailing Wall I'll liberate your peoples' fate, Spoke the Burnin' Bush, But the song of beats, Growl with oil-soaked teeth, Their dollar is mighty and true, Now the eagle soars the sky, Over refugee and child, And to all there is no end, Another perfect day in hell, So how come the gather' storm, Pours little on the truth? Where the smokin' gun's a familiar song let loose, Now a caravan of clouds, Warns us all of deadly showers, Then a rattle comes the rain, With each bullet screams your name, (Chorus) Oh I'll liberate your peoples' fate, As we scream at the Wailing Wall.

Those are the correct lyrics. Good song.

Very much an anti-bush song in my opinion.

"I'll liberate your peoples' fate, Spoke the Burnin' Bush, But the song of beasts, Growl with oil-soaked teeth, Their dollar is mighty and true,"

-Basically pointing out how Bush wants everyone to believe the war in Iraq is for the benefit of the Iraqi people, when really the war is for the benefit of oil companies and other corporations.

"So god how come every wrong's been done? With deals no Christ should allow, "

-God wouldn't (or at least shouldn't) approve of the unjustified killing of innocents that has occurred in Iraq.

"So how come this gatherin storm, Pours little on the truth? "

-The war on Iraq was based on lies; WMD and links to 9/11 that didn't exist.

"Now the eagle soars the sky, Over refugee and child, And to all there is no end, Another perfect day in hell, "

-The States now control Iraq, life is no better for the Iraqis, there will be no end to the occupation because its almost impossible to stop 'insurgents' because they can be anybody and anywhere.

Well thats the way I see it.

Definitely an anti-Bush song.

And a damn good one at that.

yes, very anti-bush and the Iraq war. When he mentions "once the communist, now the terrorist" he notes the pretenses for hatred. once it was communists, now it is the terrorist. Of course, "burning bush" is refering to Bush, who sits complacently in his position of power while people die.
-Peace-

Snidekick and cobblerman08 hit the nail on the head with their interpretations.

PS: One of my faves, great one to open a show with, as they did last sunday! ah, what a great show it was.

Also, be must be said that the Wailing Wall is a wall that stands in Jerusalem and has, traditionally been a place of mourning and grieving, for Jews. So my guess is that the reason why "we're still screaming at the Wailing Wall" is because there still is and always will be great human tragedy to mourn and grieve over.
