You Gotta Move Lyrics
You got to move
You got to move
I’ll show you what you should do
You got to move this way
And everything's going to be okay
It's a chemical bliss and a stranger's kiss
You always lose your color and fall
You just move, that's all
You're just below Dallas town
Where the sky burns bright white
I watched the sun go down
And the moon lights you up like a spotlight
So stumble and trip down the broken strip
With your planet packed in your car
You just move, don't go far
Starting to spin in your circle again
So pull the hammer back, that's a start
And just move, pull me apart
You got to move
I’ll show you what you should do
You got to move this way
And everything's going to be okay
It's a chemical bliss and a stranger's kiss
You always lose your color and fall
You just move, that's all
You're just below Dallas town
Where the sky burns bright white
I watched the sun go down
And the moon lights you up like a spotlight
So stumble and trip down the broken strip
With your planet packed in your car
You just move, don't go far
Starting to spin in your circle again
So pull the hammer back, that's a start
And just move, pull me apart

My 2nd favorite Heatmiser song behind Half Right. Awesome.
i just dont see why nobody else has posted on this song... simply amazing, he seems to be having a problem maintaining moods, going from satisfied to confused and lonely.. very deep... "its a chemical bliss and a strangers kiss, you always lose your color and fall"
shoulda said mroe the first time.. "with your planet packed in your car" ever drive by yourself and become consumed in thought? thats how he feels with everything he has or has experienced resting with him... "starting to spin in your circle again, so pull the hammer back thats a start" things are getting bad again, even to the point of contimplating suicide, he must continue to "move" or stray from his mind to refrain from becoming unhappy again... perhaps a personality disorder?
I'm borderline and a lot of the things elliott talked about sounds like classid bpd. yaknow I could be reading into it too much, and I can't think of a good example right now, but borderlines are known for self-harm and impulsive behavior. so maybe it's that

for some reason I really don't get the 'pull the hammer back' line, help me out here? lol
@kmkane23 as in, cocking the hammer of a gun

I always took this song as one talking about his move away from Dallas and Charlie, how he took what seemed like his whole world with him and it "pulled him apart" (he often talks about guilt he feels about leaving his mother)
